Is there a problem with taps being lower than the top of the kegs? I've got a new potential beer fridge that I want to switch my taps to but unlike the old one this has a bottom freezer. The only way I could have the taps above the kegs would be to put them about 6 feet off the floor.

There is absolutely no reason why taps should be above the kegs. They can be basically at any height you want, since the CO2 is what supplies the serving pressure.
