Keg "emptiness meter"

Hey there,

I'm looking to use an Arduino and some type of weight sensor to determine how much beer is left in the kegs in my Keezer. The idea is to weigh the empty keg and then track the weight as the beer is consumed. Could anyone suggest a sensor that would be appropriate?

Plaato Keg does just that but is obviously not DIY.
If you find a way to do this and it be cost effective I may be interested in doing the project as well.
