Hey guys. Been a few years since I built my keezer. I moved and now have a basement and want to start brewing and decided to build a new bar to surround my freezer with the knowledge I have now.
My last keezer, I built a setup based on many I've seen here with the tiled top and wooden tower. It ended up being somewhat heavy to lift and hold up, so I was thinking it would be nice to change up the way it opens. Has anyone used a spring or hydraulic lift style hinge that'll allow the top of the bar to lift UP rather than hinge from one edge -- reason being, my bar was stored against a wall, and having to slide it out to grab a cold mug or change a keg got annoying.
Looking for inspiration and suggestions. Thanks guys!
