A little background: I bought 5 rhizomes and after 6 weeks, 3 had started growing, the other 2 didn't. I dug up the 2 that weren't growing and they looked dead, very dead. I buried them in a different part of my yard with no expectations. In the mean time, I ordered crowns from Great Lakes Hops to compensate for the loss, and wouldn't you know, the "dead" rhizomes have sprung to life. So now I have 8 plants when I had planned space for 5.
What I'm wondering is, can I train 2 bines on single rope (same variety), or should each have their own? Also, how many sprouts should I let grow from each plant? I'm assuming too many full grown bines from one plant would lessen my harvest, or make the plant weaker in general.
I'm growing Nugget x2, Cascade x2, Mt. Hood, Glacier, Galena, and Sterling.
