Just moved to Wilmington, DE

Hey everyone. As the title states, I just moved to Wilmington, DE for a new job and have absolutely no idea what there is to do here. I have been here for about 2 weeks and need some advice on what there is to do around here.

So far I have been to Iron Hill Brewery and How Do You Brew? but was wondering what other good brewpubs, breweries, or whatnot are in the area. I did a google maps search and nothing overly interesting came up. I know DFH is in Rehobeth but I am looking for something a bit closer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Chelsea Tavern and Washington St. Ale House aren't bad.

Domaine Hudson has no draught beer but has a very extensive bottle list.

Welcome to Delaware! There is also Fordham - Dominion brewery here in Dover. They do brewery tours and have a little pub.

You poor poor bastard. Really there isn't much to do other than drink. Where did you moved from? What part are you in?

There are a few really good bars though. Like others said stewarts brewing in Bear and Two Stones just off campus in Newark are both phenominal. I am actually on first name basis with most of the staff at both of them I spend so much time there.

Stewarts is a brewpub and Two Stones is a new beer bar. They have only been open about 6 months now. They have 25 beers on tap that are constantly changing including one cask. They have almost 100 different bottles too. Food at both is really good but two stones' food is absolutely amazing.

SAm Calgione is going to be at Two Stones in a couple weeks too and he is bringing a bunch of his reserve beers with him.

Like I said, I spend quite a bit of time in both so if you are looking for someone to drink with let me know.

Mike, i had never heard of Two Stones. It is right near BJ'S? Looks like a real nice selection, but the pricing is ridiculous on the beers, and I really dont complain much about pricing.

Yeah, its where taste of ireland used to be right on 4. 1 light down from vinces. Prices are a little on the high especially for bottles but drafts aren't too bad. I joined their mug club too which really helps.

Ok, I am pretty familiar with Colora. I grew up in Elkton, went to school in NE and my wife is from Rising Sun. I am pretty much living in Bear now.

To add to the butchering. I grew up in MTown(middletown). One of my best friends went to NE High. I used to shoot all the time at Elk Neck State Forest. Love that resturant in NorthEast that serves a turkey sandwich on a pretzel roll.

Kirkwood hwy! Exactly! There used to be a dollar store near that Ames but I don't exactly remember what it was called. My grandparents used to take me there all the time. My grandparents moved to Newark from New Castle and I visit from time to time. I miss Penn Acres.
