Ok,

I ordered my kegs from ebay, originally ordered 2 from this guy, then the next day found out I payed twice, so I got 4 of them. they are used ball lock type. I just got them yesterday. They came with pressure in them, I pulled on the relief valve and it sounded like an air compressor. I also just ordered the seal kits, and one of those co2 hand held thingys. I was wondering since they were all holding lots of pressure, and my co2 thing will be here in a few days if i could take one brew from a secondary and put it in one of these freshly sanatized kegs, then when i get the co2 filler, add the priming sugar and pressurize it for a good seal. Or should I wait to put it in the keg till I get the co2 filler??? They are a new thing and I just want to put them to use.

They may be sealing well because there is co2 pressure in them. If you use them and the seal is not 100% you may have a problem (probably not though)

You should be okay but is it worth risking for the sake of a day or so.

I don't know if you can get them where you are but do you have such a thing as as soda stream. If so you can pick up the CO2 cartriges from supermarkets and use a set up like this.

I'd wait, mainly because you want to be able to put a layer of CO2 on the keg after transferring to prevent oxidation. Be careful with the hand-held CO2 thingy, they don't have regulators and with a full keg, you can pop the over-pressure valve very easily.

I have never seen the soda server thing before. I think I will wait for the co2 filler. Why would it matter if I blow the relief valve??? thats what it is for. I was planning on filling it till it blows and then let off some of the o2 in the keg and filling again with co2. It will not hurt the relief valve, right?

Wait till your 100% set up and ready. Sanitise your keg, fill it with beer, install the lid and put on about 30 psi of CO2 to seal the lid. Forget the priming sugar, it's a waste of effort and money.

Once you're sure the lid is sealed, adjust your CO2 to the correct serving pressure (8-12 psi) and let the keg sit for a week with the gas attached.

No need for any other fancy gyrations or procedures.

Right but it will waste the co2. Theres not a lot in those cartridges. It may take a few to presurise and serve the full keg. I don't think there will be enought to carbonate. (But I'm guessing)
