Just finished a mash, realized I'd forgotten to treat my water for choramine!

While waiting on my wort to reach a boil, I just noticed that I'd forgotten to treat my tap water with Potassium Metabisulfite.
Is the damage already done? Or am I ok, as long as it gets added before the yeast get to work?

You'll probably be fine. Honestly, I've never usually been able to tell a perceptible difference between the times I forget to treat with k/na-meta (and there are plenty) and those I don't.

If that's the case your water source was lightly treated. Before we put in our own well the private water company that served our area was heavy handed with the chloramine injection with the resulting band-aid character in the offing. First time I got bit it was a porter that I otherwise loved...

Cheers!
