That's my oatmeal stout pre conditioning. Tastes very much like Flat Guinness. I was hoping more oatmeal would shine through but oh well.

No idea of the FG because I just realized my hydrometer is cracked. After soaking it in star San I noticed it was full of foam. Looks like another item to get at the lhbs along with a graduated cylinder and a large spoon.

Star San is awesome. I was just surprised it didn't foam more when sprayed. It is super easy to use and worth every cent. Can I just leave what is in the spray bottle in there for tomorrow when i brew?

Bottling itself was a breeze, I filled, SWMBO capped. The whole process went relatively fast, and without much mess since we did everything in a large flat rubbermaid tote that was sprayed down with star San. In total I filled 36 16oz bottles.

Tomorrow we brew up an Irish red ale.

You got the right idea brewing another batch. Start that pipeline!

The Starsan will be fine in a closed bottle for awhile. I keep mine around for a few weeks until it starts to smell funky. Sounds like you are going a bit overboard spraying the container. Only things that come in contact with the beer after the boil need to be sanitized.

Welcome to the addiction!

nice, actually looks stouty. all my stouts to date have come out looking more like moody browns, but they are still tasty, and that is what matters.
