Just bottled for first time

I just bottled for the first time. I have always kegged. How long does it need to sit in the bottles for it to carbonate. How long should I wait to crack the first one open?

Revvy says 3 weeks is the minimum time you should wait for it to bottle condition and carb up. If it's a high gravity beer, it could take 3 months or more. But for your standard SG <1.060 beer, 3 weeks is a good start.
