Born in so cal, grew up drinking tasty microbrews. Moved to Maui 8 years ago and was sorely disappointed on the severe lack of good local beer in Hawaii. (Yeah yeah coconut porter from Maui Brew Co, i know). Sadly, had given up on quality brew, been drinking Heineken, corona and whatever store bought swill I could find on sale for the past 8 years. I had given up on finding any good local beers in Maui.
A friend who homebrews got me started and I am hooked. Just malt extract kits so far, but I just brewed batch 5 and 6 and can't wait for more. . Thanks to HB forum, I'm brewing all the time. You guys rock for answering all my noob questions and rookie mistakes. Nothing is more satisfying than coming home from work and cracking a tasty homebrew. Mahalo!
