Juniper for bittering agent in my beer??

I was thinking about doing an experiment where i go with a basic malted barley, water, and yeast beer and instead of hops, using juniper berries. Has anyone tried this? If so, was it worth it?

I've never done it myself, but it sounds like you're brewing a gruit. There's lots of stuff that can be used for bittering besides hops. Juniper sounds like a popular one.
