So i came up with my own idea of what i would consider i HG lager. it worked out to be in the 8.5 ABV range. The only thing i really did differently from my normal batches is i used 2 lbs of corn sugar and to packets of dry yeast so i could jack up the ABV. When i bottled the beer i also added 2.5 oz of liquid rasberry extract (for my wife). and also added the same amount of corn sugar to bottle with which has never given me any carb issues it is 3/4 of a cup of sugar disolved in 2 cups of water and then put in half before i racked and half after. I opened two up yesterday and everything seemed fine untill i got to the bottom of the beer ( which tasted great actually with the raz in it) and i found the the sediment actually lossened up and came out. It looked slightly like mold but the flavor of the beer had no issues. it was actually a big hit with many of the people there however i only had the two bottles. Is this an issue with HG beers or is it just a minor thing that i shouldnt worry about?

It's just sediment. Pour slowly and keep it at the neck of the bottle. It won't hurt ya, it's just dead yeasties (actually a good source of B12) Might give ya the poots pretty good though if you haven't been drinking homebrew long.

Sorry when i said HG i meant high gravity atleast it is in my case being somewhat new to brewing and thanks for the tip paul

Yeah, the sediment might be a little less compact due to the extract, let them sit in the frige a little longer than usual and it should firm up.
