Man, I am dying to brew. I've only done one batch in 2006. Since then obligations and circumstances have conspired against me. I was doing okay until my ingredients arrived at the doorstep last night and got me hot and bothered...now I have to leave Saturday for a business trip, but I will be brewing somehow someway next weekend!

I know how you feel. Last year I only brewed up 5 batches. I made it a point this year to really get going. So far I have brewed 6 batches this year. I make it a point to try and brew every weekend.:D

That's going some anthrobe!

I have now purchased 3 spare kegs. I plan on trying to have 3 beers on tap, all 3 extra kegs filled and then maybe some bottles. It seems lately that my neighbors and I are drinking faster than I can brew. :drunk:

Just 3 brews this year for me (but two of those are wines - i won't get to drink at least one them til this time next year at best!!!!)

I hear ya! Only brewed twice this year myself! Too many things getting in the way! But I am brewing with my girlfriend Saturday - it's a beer for her, so nothing will derail that session!;) I might also brew a lager again the following day.

Looking forward to summer when I can brew outside (and seemingly, more often) again!

I think around 1.5/month or 18 batches a year is about right for me consumption wise (but I'm not sure). However, I just enjoy brewing and fiddle-fartin' around with equipment and different recipes. I'd probably brew every weekend and give beer away if it was practical. So far the weeks have kind of slipped by this year, but the siren call of fresh grains and green hops in the house is driving me nuts!

Ive only brewed twice this year, which are also the first two I've ever done. But i have some grains and hops sitting in my fridge and it makes me so impatient to start another batch. I hope to get at least two more done before the end of March which is when I will have to give up brewing for a while (military). Sucks cause I finally find a hobby that I enjoy (my friends and family enjoy that i have this hobby as well) and I have to take such a long break. argh!

you guys are experiencing what I was going through last week. I had not brewed for 2 months due to a lot of travel, but I finally got one done last weekend. It was kind of a different brew session for me because I literally decided at the last minute to go ahead and do it. I bought the materials on Saturday, but wasn't going to brew it until Monday night.

At about 9pm saturday, I decided to go ahead and do it NOW (the urge was too strong). Absolutely no preparation and my equipment was 2 months dusty in the garage.

I actually got that brew done faster than normal somehow! And, the only mess-up was that I forgot to add my irish moss.

I hear ya, BeeGee. you get those ingredients in the house, and they start bekoning.

Two weeks ago I brewed my first batch in 3 years. Dang I'm glad to be back! Now I need to get it into the keg and carbonated so I can drink some Home Brew! I'm brewing again this Monday but I'll never be able to keep up with some of you.;)

I did the same thing. I was going to brew this past weekend but I had the ingredients so I brewed it a week earlier. Result? The beer goes into the keg this weekend! :D
I did it again though. I planned on brewing a week from this Sunday and I purchased the ingredients today. Now that I have them, what's to stop me? Nothing! I'm going to brew it this Monday. I would brew it this weekend but I have to work.

Being deployed? Seems like there's a lot of active duty on this board (well, minus one that is..semper fi!).

I ship to basic training (Navy) on March 28th, then off to Ft. Meade for tech school afterwards. Then who knows. Im sure its gonna be a loooong time before i get to dust off my fermenter and have at it once again. Therefore i keep brewing and brewing even though there is no way ill finish it all off before i go, which makes my family and friends even happier...Ha. I have some packs of hops sitting in my fridge, might have to do something about that this weekend...

Yeah, WWOCMFS? :p

I'm jonesin to brew as well. I was going to brew up the 06.06.06 recipe this weekend, but my order from HBA still isn't here, AND the weather isn't going to cooperate on Saturday.

I think I'll go to the HBS Friday and buy some ingredients for a LWPA, just to get something in the pipeline. That'll be a cheap trip cause I have a crapload of hops and yeast in the fridge unit.

Possible snow and nasty wind on Sunday, but I don't care. I MUST brew.

Are you at Wright-Pat? Seems like we've got quite a handful of USAF folks here.

I have brewed 2 batches this year, and I hope to run one through this weekend too. I was hoping to squeeze another batch in to be ready for St. Patrick's day, but it is tight. The Pale Ale that I make is normally carbonated and drinkable 1 month after boil (though better with age), but I don't think that I am going to push it. I have a couple cases ready for the 17th, and I will stick to that. I wish I could brew every weekend, but DIY, work, and school kill me.

I have 4 batches under the belt in 06. Probably won't brew again until around the 1st of March though.

I spent a few months at Wright-Pat once. No offense to Whitay, but is there a more miserable place on earth than Dayton, Ohio? :(

HAHA, its no paradise thats for sure. But seeing as how Dayton is where I grew up I cant knock it, but it defeinitly has its moments...
