How can I use a Johnson temperature controller with a kegerator? Using the kegerator for fermentation and pouring. Is drilling a hole the only option?

you cant ferment ales (60-70F) and serve beer (35-45F) at the same time.

How can I use a Johnson temperature controller with a kegerator?
you plug the kegerator into the controller, and plug the controller into the wall... not sure what you are drilling- a hole for the temp probe? that isnt completely necessary, but you will probably have to do that anyway for the gas or beer lines...

I was going to ferment or pour one at a time not both. Beer lines and gas lines can be taken out while I ferment and put back whilst I pour. Any idea on how to get the probe in?

Or you can pour at 35-40F and lager a lager. :)

I have the same controller on my kegerator. I just stick the probe to the side of a keg, with a sponge over it to help insulate it from the airflow inside the kegerator. The magnetic rubber seal around the door has no problem sealing around the wire on the probe.
