How a group recently got away with having a bottle share at Jester King:

Every time I see a paper bag I think of Colvin's speech from the wire.

Stupid youtube wouldn't let me upload it here.

Damn I really wish I could leave work and head down to Jester King. I actually can't wait for MVB to sell out so when I come down in 2 weeks, everything should be nice and peaceful. Enjoy whatever is on tap and kick it wif da homies.

I just wanted to say that I had my first bottles of JK last night, and loved them all... thanks to dumptruck81.

Oh, and we didn't even get around to opening up the high rated bottles he sent on top of that. From stalking this thread, and now having tried their stuff, definitely a brewery I'd love to make a trip out to one day.

If half of what JK employees are telling me is true... this is going to be the most exciting year for JK to date.
Half is a stretch. I swear they throw out false info to throw us off ;) I love it though and after colour 5, Blanc du Bois, and MVB batch 2, plus Repose and many others, I'm excited to see what they do next. Now if only they'd make high speed rail to austin.

Finishing the bathroom and paving the parking lot?

I don't think they'll ever pave the parking lot. Ideally, they will put down loose gravel and get it graded, so that it will handle rain runoff. That will make the ride plenty smooth

Remember, they lease the property, not own it, and I don't think pavement fits in with the whole farmhouse vibe they're going for.

When I made an off-handed comment out the wait of the taproom line, I was immediately informed by one of the volunteer tap jockeys of two things...

1.) they are planning to implement a brand new bar that extends to where the patio is now.

2.) that I should be grateful I can even drink at all considering where they were two years ago.

If they can manage the same level of progression with the taproom as they have with the baños, we could see it sometime in the next 4 years.

With the rapidly growing love for JK beers, something definately needs to be changed or modified. I like the separate tent for release bottles, but the other bottle line moves at a snails pace. With the larger number of people showing up on Fridays, I think the drink tent should also be set up on Fridays to eliminate the wait time. Waiting in the drink line for 45 doesn't make it very enjoyable. Even if they put the drink tent up on release Fridays would make a difference IMO

Agreed. Tap line tent is needed now on release Fridays at a minimum. I waited 30-40 minutes in line for bottles, and then another 20-25 minutes in tap room line. Not that I actually time it, but I am very good at guessing elapsed time due to nature of my job...

A tap line tent for the special fruited sour release on Friday's would be awesome. Fen Tao was a long wait that Fri
