What happened with Blanc de Blancs?
Wakefield is apparently releasing a beer over Labor Day weekend called "Blanc de Blancs", which is a name already used for a Side Project beer. This was pointed out on the Wakefield event Facebook page:

Anyone going to WAKEFEST?
Yes. I know we mostly stick to **** talking in this thread, but the tap list is guaranteed to be better than all the other beer festivals in south florida. Also they finally started selling tickets with no bottles and lowered the convenience fees so I bought one

Did the exact same thing...considered the 1 bottle option, but after seeing the price jump from $75 to $94.50 w the fees, couldn't justify it. $58 after fees for no bottle option is a good deal, IMO.

What time are people planning on showing up for the DFPF release, and will there be any beer sharing while waiting, or is that a no no down there?

That area is basically open container. There hasn't been a need to show up very early at any of the releases since the first couple BA stout releases, but people do it anyway and sharing happens

Also the GA ticket is printable from my email but I didn't want to ruin the joke earlier...

This is probably a stupid question, but I've never been there, so forgive me: Will DFPF sell out the day of the release, or do bottles typically stick around for a few days?

It will sell out. They don't want leaky bottles on premise so they cut back on production to make sure they are all gone by the end of the day. Last time they had to spend a bunch of money on wax to fix the problem, probably put them in the red.

The cut backs don't stop there. It's more of a guiding principal of the company. For example, they only bring a minuscule amount of beer to festivals like Shelton Fest so they can appear to "run out" early and Wakey can feign popularity and go get hammered.

Am I the only salty OG who is now watching legitimate bottles being released by JWB and thinking what could have been? I thought I had purged all memories of being an OG following the debacle that the membership actually was, but seeing him release bottles that are hard to get and extremely well received has me relapsing worse than Charlie Sheen.
