Wakefield sent some employee goons to comment on my FB review of him. These appear to be their new talking points:
"My dude, you do know it takes about a year or more just to open up a new business, let a lone a brewery that requires many permits, construction, and a lot of back and forth with the city. Now add that all the beers for the OG's are barrel aged which on its own is an 8 month process. That's not even adding the weeks of fermentation of the beer before it even gets barreled. Sounds like the beers were delivered right on time.
I understand that OG's also received over $100 of exclusive merchandise not available to the public. After dealing with the many challenges faced, and all the feedback both good and bad, a tough decision was made to end the OG Society at 1 year. Thankfully I don't need your dollar to survive as I work hard following a dream and a passion that I share with a devoted team and fellow colleagues in the industry.
I wouldn't get so butt hurt and start talking trash about a start up company, let alone an individual and hard working team that faced many challenges to bring the community the amazing beers that are being release. Such a shame. You good sir, along with all the trolls are the poison in the good world of the beer community."
So I learned a few things:
1) Kettle sours are barrel aged for 8 months
2) The T-shirt we got was valued at $100
3) Screwing people over this bad is hard work
4) Many permits, such back and forth
