Ok boys and girls, it's that time again. Let's here it, what have you learned.

I've learned ways to improve my brewing skills, and that Ohio-Brit/ Laughing Gnome is an angry old man! j/k LG Please don't shake your cane at me:D

I have learned that many of the questions you ask yourself every day can be solved with math and science! And that people are inherently irrational, and that even when one choice is obviously more rational and logical and correct you can count on a lot of people to make the wrong decision based on their feelings. I also learned that there is no argument no matter how logical that can top "I just feel like this is the right thing to... do, get, say, etc."

I also learned that I can use math to pick up chicks in a bar.

I have learned that no matter how little I brew, SWMBO's still going to bitch about it, so I might as well brew.

**NO FUN**
I learned that 2 of our best gals at work are getting laid off at the end of next month.

I learned that what happens at rugby, stays at rugby- including getting our strong side flanker hammered after practice while he's trolling for p#ssy when his pregnant wife is at home. Even big boys go boom after too many Jager shots. Oh, and Vietnamese lettuce wraps look better on the plate in the bar than on the side of my car and in a nice pile beside my mailbox. Friggin' lightweights.

  1. I learned that a 14 year old daughter who isn’t hungry for the spicy breakfast sausage you cooked her for breakfast, and a hungry Corgi pup sitting patiently under the breakfast table…is not a good combination.
And yes…she had to catch the school bus so she missed out on the clean up.
  2. I also learned that dogs are just as excited to gobble up breakfast sausage…the second time...as they are the first time… ;)

That sentence totally went downhill after the part I made bold. I got all excited for a second there, it's funny the stuff your brain can invent in such a short space of time.....Being laid by the same guy? a horse?. .....Oh, laid off....darn:(

I've learned that despite what I may think about my job, it is just that a job, and even though I feel alone sometimes I have realized that I am in the same boat as many other people.

I also learned just a few minutes ago that the frosting that is on vending machine strawberry danishes is a b*@ch to get outta your ear.

And that a Clorox disposable wipe is probably NOT a got thing to use to wipe out your ear with...

owie...it burns (I have so NOT had a good week...)

I learned that my life sux and I will probably be alone forever...BUT, there are some awesome people on here! :mug:

And that I am greatful for beer.

Revvy if this place wasn't such a sausage fest I bet we could start some sort of beer dating forum, I bet you'd have a great SWMBO before you knew it.

I too have learned something similar with my new puppy

I also have found out what it takes to do what the SWMBO does on a daily basis for our family.

How did you manage that? Wait never mind I don't want to know :cross:

That's the problem, I haven't a clue...I had a danish for b-fast, washed my hands, and awhile later I scratched an ear itch, then noticed as I was typing the last what I learned post, that I was getting frosting on my keyboard...and that my ear felt funny...

this whole post could be viewed so....wrong :D

Hey Revvy....is that frosting in your ear or are you just happy to see me?

Don't ask me to explain, I don't know either. But WTF, it's FRIDAY and beers will be drunken tonight thank you very much.

I did learn that I can read HBT at work and Alt+Tab really fast when the boss walks by :rockin:

I learned Wyeast 2112 (Cali Lager) takes a long time to bottle condition.

I learned that I don't understand error-correction based tests for cointegration in panel datasets and I need to hit the books this weekend...oh, joy.

I also learned that my wife has a hidden interest in politics. I never would have thought she would actually watch the entire Democratic nominating convention...and then announce that she intends to watch the entire Republican nominating convention, too.

I learned that cleaning the bathroom at the office sucks! Dang I work with some disgusting guys (and I thought I was messy and so does SWMBO!). Oh and that jagerbombs are good! :mug:

I learned that I'm glad I don't work in an office dominated by women, no offense to the fairer gender.

My wife runs a superior court and her biggest battle this week has been getting the catty women in her office to not treat one person better than others when observing birthdays. BIRTHDAYS, FOR GROWN PEOPLE, FOR GOD'S SAKE.

This on top of all the things she has to deal with like, oh I don't know, making sure the court is running properly. t's unbelievable.

I learned last night at midnight that my drunk roommate is the worst singer EVAR. It was not fun being woke up by his drunk a$$ singing to some chick.

This week I learned not to hide the bonus you got at work two months ago from the SWMBO. She will (and did) find out.

I also learned that proper fermentation temps will make your beer taste much, much, much better thanks to a chest freezer and temp controller. :mug:

I'm pretty sure I've learned that EdWort must be camping or something w/o internet access. With as much political bantering going on in the debate forum and him not chiming in what else could it be?

that i don't like half the people i went to high school with & hung out with. they all abandoned their principles & became capitalist consumers. the only difference with me is i always wanted to be a capitalist.

I learned that getting all four of your wisdom teeth pulled out really does hurt (especially when you have teeth the size of a middle finger), and that I can't drink beer while I'm on the antibiotics.

I also learned that SWMBO doesn't like spending 2 hours at a hardware store while I'm getting all the stuff required to transform a cooler into a mash tun and to build an immersion chiller.

I just learned my new boss is female, her boss is female, her boss is female, her boss is female, and with McCain's VP pick, her boss might also be female.

I work in an extremely male dominated field. Times are changing. THis could be a good thing.
