Issues with kegerator conversion

Hey everyone. I have a nostalgia kegerator and struggling getting this converted to a ball lock Corny. I got the conversion kit but the gas and liquid lines are too small to accept the conversion pieces inside them. I'm at a loss and this kegerator has been certainly annoying so far. Any help is appreciated

Hit the hardware store and get:

Hose barb for the size line on the kegerator and pieces to reduce down to the size you need for the conversion.

Have you tried softening the liquid and gas lines in some boiling water before trying to push them onto the quick connects? (if what you have are barbed) Pictures of what you've got would certainly help us help you.
