I was rotating bottle of an experimental wine and I noticed black spots on the bottom. I am hoping that it’s just sediment. They were on the bottom of the bottles not in the air bubble.

Anyone seen this? Did I screw up somewhere? I’ve done more than 15 batches of different wines and this is the first time I’ve seen this.

Thanks!

Rotating? Do you mean moving the from one place to another, or turning the bottle a quarter to prevent sediment from "sticking" for lack of a better word? Was it a red wine?

Turning the bottles in the rack. It is a fruit wine. Watermelon to be exact. I'm hoping it is just the tannins we added falling out.
