I'm brewing with a conical for the first time. After transfering the wort I let it sit for 45 minutes, dumped what little trub there was and then pitched. Fermentation started within 24 hours and was very active for 4 days. I decided to open the dump valve again (after sanitizing it) and dump any trub/dead yeast. Well I got a little foam (maybe a shot glass full) and then wort began to flow. I waited until the next day tapped the sides with a mallet and the tried to dump again. I was expecting some thick goo or something more consistant with the trub I have seen in my glass carboys, but all I got was some cloudy wort with some small flakes in it. Is this normal?
