Hey all,
I'm about to use my 5# CO2 bottle to dispense a half-barrel (15.5 g's) at my friends' wedding tomorrow, and I'm wondering if my bottle will do the trick. It's been through about 3 pony kegs, and has ~700 PSI left, I think full it was maybe 800??? It's 200 PSI before the ORDER GAS range, do y'all think I have enough???

thanks.

You don't need much to serve a keg. You should be fine. If anyone has a hand pump it would be good to have on hand just to be safe.

Pressure doesn't mean much with co2 (until there is no pressure that is) which is why it's sold by weight. The co2 is in liquid form and he pressure will stay pretty much the same until the liquid is gone, then the pressure will drop QUICKLY.

Doesn't sound like you have used a lot from the tank, unless there is a leak.

Good luck.

thank you both, I had plenty.

there is sadly about a third of the keg left, people did not do their jobs well enough! poor wounded soldier...

it takes roughly 8oz of co2 to dispense a 1/2 barrel. 3 pony kegs would use up roughly 12 oz, so you should be fine.
