Is this corny lid useable? Odd pressure relief...

So, I'm just getting back into brewing after ~4 years off (hey, I lost the 50lbs I'd gained, and now I have helpers so I don't feel compelled to drink ALL the beer I brew). I picked up a random collection of junk from someone else who was getting Out and now am trying to decide what's junk and what's not.

So, the above lid was on a pin-lock keg and I don't remember if it held pressure or not. I kinda use the pressure-release from time to time (filling carboys and bottles), so I'd like one that's useable. Is this something I can just lop off and replace with a replacement pressure valve like this:

I have 2 other lids that need this anyway (one missing a valve completely, the other had a cracked plastic/nylon valve), but they have the hole in place already. It all SEEMS to be similar in size, but I'm not sure if it's even worth the $10 difference between the replacement valve and a whole new lid.

Thoughts?

Now that I've typed it out, seems like a lot of hassle for $10...

Gila is right, that's a typical relief valve for pin lock kegs. It's slighly more of a pain to hit the gas poppet, but not too much. I have 2 converted kegs that were once upon a time pin locks with that lid. I want to swap the lids out one of these days, but it's not worth the price to pay for replacement lids or even figuring out a way to chop off the existing relief and use the replacement like you show. If it holds pressure, let it ride until it fails and then replace the whole lid (in my opinion).
