Is this an infection? (with photos)

I was checking in on my IIPA when I noticed this clumpy stuff floating on top. Any idea what it is?

It's not stringy and looks like some sort of coagulation.

Nope. Same thing was in my iipa. It was yeast despite the nasty appearance.

My last IPA looked like that. It was the first time I used washed yeast and irish moss, but I think it was the irish moss that caused it (maybe not). It eventually dropped to the bottom.

This is my first time using this particular yeast as well as irish moss... so if it's one of those two things, I'll keep an eye out for it in the future.

Ive had that on a few of my beers. Its just yeast having an after meal conversation. They like to chat and tell stories after eating like we do.
