Hello Mead Makers,

I have never made a Cyser before, and here is what I am proposing to do.

I have a lot of Orange Blossom mead, done fermenting - aged about 2 yrs - tastes good - a little too sweet.
I also have a lot of Cider, done ferenting, aged about two years - tastes good, not great, not bad....

SO I am looking to blend the two finished products together to get a better product.

I like the mead, pretty sweet, the cider I am not really a fan of. ( i am not really a fan of any cider at this point )

I just have so much of these two, I don't want to pour them down the drain,
but at this point I have more cider than I would ever drink.

IS it a Cyser if it comes from a blended finished product ?

Any tips on blending them ?

Thanks

Steve

I would still call it a cyser. Apples plus honey is always a cyser.

Cysers need a lot of age. 1-2 years depending on the apples. If you want a quick fix while the cyser is aging, try graff or my cyser graff recipe on this forum. The cyser graff was delicious straight out of the fermenter in a week!
