Is my Whiskey Barrel Porter ok?

So I just realized that I forgot to rack to the secondary before adding the wood chips and bourbon to my whiskey barrel porter from AHS. I just added it to the primary. Will this be ok or is it an expensive lesson learned?

With wood chips, you're not going to be soaking for weeks anyway so primary will work fine. Probably sample it daily after day 4 or 5 to determine when to rack off oak.

With cubes, most go 2-8 weeks depending on number of cubes and desired oak flavor. Secondary is definitely better for that.
