First all, just wanted to say I'm new here, and also to kegging beer, so please have mercy.
Just kegged my first beer last night. I have a 5 gal corny ball lock keg with frah o-rings and the usual small CO2 tank the local brew shop normally exchanges. I wanted the beer ready for this weekend, so I turned the pressure up to ~28psi and was going to turn it down tonight to 10psi for the remainder of the week. I heard this method could be used to hasten the carbonation process.
Here's my question: I checked the regulator just now, ~20h after kegging st 28psi, and the tank psi has dropped from ~750 to 500psi, indicating I used 1/3 of the tank overnight. Is this normal or indicative of a major/minor leak?
Thanks in advance to whoever can help me out here!
