Thailand! Yes, you are right. The ginger we can get here in Germany is usually from China and treated with chemicals and/or radiation to make it last longer. This obviously kills all the beneficial bugs on it. You're lucky!Thanks. I think it had a lot to do with the very fresh, juicy ginger I bought from the local market here in Pattaya. I made my first ginger beer a few days ago. Very tasty and lots of fizz.
