Hi everyone,

Newbie here (have made about 5 homebrews so far, this is my first attempt adding organics, trying to make a pumpkin ale) and have used this site for reference in the past, now I need some help, please!

See the photo, wondering if I have an infection? This is in the primary, been in there about 2 weeks or so and went to go transfer to secondary today and not sure if I have an infection. Does not smell bad or sour, have not tried a sample yet. Some info I find says it's normal and it's just dead yeast colonies at the top, others say infection. Any opinions? As you can see its a thin, clear film with some bubbles trapped underneath. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for all the quick responses, I really appreciate it! Took a quick sip and (white I think I might have something wrong as it is more bitter than expected) but does not taste foul or sour. Going to go ahead and continue the process. Thanks again everyone!

The bitterness will almost always mellow out with time.

On deck: Imperial Stout, Vienna Lager
Primary: Empty
Secondary: Mojave Red, Irish Stout, Tramp Stamp Clone, Helles, Oktoberfest, Roggenbier
On tap: Naked American Wheat, Turbo IIPA
Bottled: Dwarven Gold Ale, La Fin Du Mond clone, Hefeweizen

Well the bubbles look fine, just co2. What i would be concerned about is that white streaky film looking stuff. that doesn't look normal to me at all.
