I recently got a Kolsch kit from Midwest Supplies, and they suggested Muntons yeast for it. Since I was going to split it into two batches, the smaller Muntons seemed like a good idea, so I got it. I looked up Muntons on this forum, and I found nothing good. Is it really that bad? The reviews for it on MW and NB are good, so what's the deal? Will my beer turned out badly?

Nah, it'll be fine. I've used Muntons yeast in a Muntons kit. It turned out what I'd expect from a kit like that.

It does seem strange to suggest a non Kolsch yeast for a Kolsch. There's really no way to make a Kolsch without the proper yeast.
