Hi, I am experimenting with using raisins as sugar content in my mead, and I just realized about 12H after adding the yeast that I forgot to dice/chop the raisins up before adding them.

My question is, will the sugars eventually dissolve? If not, is it too late to get a blender in and chop the raisins? I am only 12H from adding the yeast, would I be introducing unwanted oxygen or damaging the yeast by using a blender while everything is still in the fermenter?

If you did introduce oxygen, it would be helpful at this point. Chop away!
