Uh Oh? So I made a 3 gallon batch of Blackberry Apple Cider this past week I call it Cell Phone Cider.. With Safale S-04 yeast.
30ozs of frozen Blackberries and 2.75 gallons of pressed apple juice.
Well it was fermenting away for a couple days, Last night I looked at it and it seemed ok.
This morning I checked it and the Bung and airlock were tossed out of it and some blackberries were scattered in the area.
I quickly rigged up a blow-off system for it and went off to work.
Now do you think the time that the 2 inch hole of my glass fermenter was exposed that it got infected? Or do you think it was pumping enough CO2?
It is in my basement in an unused shower.
