I'd definitely be into this. I've actually been trying to learn some French for when I do end up going. And while I'd love to check out Cantillon, 3F. My main reason for going would be to go to Fantome and Blaugies.

Rosetta Stone that ****. You'll be saying le chat dort in no time.

I'd be up for this as well. Was looking at google maps not long ago, seems like Fantome, Cantillon, and Drie are pretty close (Fantome is the furthest out). Easy day trip, but like you, I've never been to Europe, don't have the language down, etc... Would love to charter a bus or something...

I have a 2014 Brise-BonBons in the fridge but didn't get to it tonight unfortunately. Gonna pop it soon...i'll definitely provide some tasting notes when I do. For me it wasn't anything spectacular fresh but i still enjoyed it.

I love that beer. Report your experience. I've heard there's serious bottle variation, but the ones I've had were awesome.

PS Hasn't anyone tried Sante 20 yet? Seems like someone should've gotten their shipment by now and I'm getting curious...

Whoa, didn't think any of this easy around anymore... Gonna have to throw up an ISO once I get get caught up. Glad to hear it rules, though!

Wait, we talking the Fantome one or the JK one? I assumed the Fantome one. Which I passed on because it sounded so damn weird and early reports weren't great :(

I was gonna ask the same thing. The pic is of Jester King's and talking about cases being available would suggest that version as well, not the Tome one.

I thought the JK version was awesome even with the thick sickness. The tome version was still ehhhhhhhh when I opened a bottle a couple weeks prior to JK's coming out.

Etre is under new management or they have new workers or something.... it took them 2 weeks to ship my order. I should have it mid-week and will report with findings as soon as the bottle is chilled.

CornAndBeer i just popped the JK version. I heard bad reports initially but I think this is tasting exceptionally well.

The aroma is herbaceous, taste reminds me of a tart cherry and herbal as well. I'd pound this any day. The body is a little weirdly thick though.

Overall I dig it. My tasting notes suck, sorry!

Ive been stewing over this idea for years... its time to get the gears turning and at least discuss the possibility of making it happen.

I need to meet DanyP. I constantly dream about it. However, I have zero experience traveling abroad and im sure others here share the same feelings/reservation about doing so. What im proposing is a group effort to get us to Soy. Dont get me wrong, I understand Belgium has a lot to offer but please know that my top priority is visiting Dany and anything else done on this trip would just be a bonus.

I have no specific timeframe in mind, that is totally up for discussion. (It would need to be months, if not a year out so I can properly clear my schedule and save funds.) What im looking for are others who share the same feelings and would seriously consider/commit to planning something like this.

I'd go with you boo

Every bottle of Saison/Sur Lie I've had lately are insanely good. Picked a bunch off the shelves when I was out in San Jose a few weeks ago.
Damn. This is the beer that really got me into beer when I had it for the first time back in 2003 or so. Haven't had it in the 4 years I've been in VA. Want it so bad right now. Any place I can order online?

Solo doming the desert tome. This is magnificent!

So much going on in this! She's like a tall Latino woman, sexy and sweet with just right bit of spice.

Thanks again GRDave!
Yup... and soon she'll be tossed across the border... when Trump wins!!! :) So Let's drink the nectar till then...

Oh btw it's Latina if it's a female... but you might be into the trannys in Tijuana?

Just like the regular forest, the dark needed some heavy decanting. Keep vessels nearby when corking. Smell is a nice grassy Belgian, a little bit more bitter then the regular version but it fades off a good bit leading to a Noel base. Decanting made this really smooth too, which I'm really digging!
