Are we allowed to know who the proud handycrafter/blender in Belgium was? Im assuming this was not something that was done with the DanyP blessing but if it was thats incredibly awesome and im super jelly regardless of whatever the lambic was.

It was blended by Raf Soef (Bokkeyder) and it was done with danyP's permission. A very cool idea to commemorate a wedding celebration.

Anyone know what year this bottle is, it goes up to 12 on the dates, it's sur lie/saison, I think '02?

Ok, had a chance to go through some bottles. Looks like the ridged bottles are from 06-08. So it's probably in that range. Not 100%, but at least from my Sante bottles that's what it looks like.

Thanks to SeaWatchman for sharing a bottle of his wedding blend featuring 11/14 Fantome Saison and a blend of 2012/2013/2014 lambic.

Was amazed at how much the Fantome character came through in this blend, and with a little time and more carbonation this would be an all timer.
lambic + fantome? yes please. gonna have to blend some for science

A few people on here roll deep with the lambic goat and will be able to tell you a lot more than me. I don't think any of it is available commercially. Turns up at festivals around Europe and will be at CBC Boston. Koelschip in Copenhagen might be getting it from time to time I believe. The half dozen or so blends I've sampled have all been excellent.

Batch 2 tonight. Definitely falls short of batch 1 at this point. It's got a strawberry lemonade thing going on, with some soapiness that stakem observed. Tastes absolutely nothing like batch 1. Still solid, but hoping the 8 more in my cellar do better with some age.
After doming the bottle, I have to admit that it definitely grew on me. The soapiness faded as the beer opened up and some really nice bright acidity shined through. Still not on the level of batch one, but I'm hopeful it will turn in to something nice.

Fantome fam, I am traveling to Scandinavia next week and am curious if anyone knows of any Fantome hot spots outside Finland? Havent seen much pop up anywhere else, but if anybody knows where a cache might be located, feel free to pass along that info;)

Pressklubben in Stockholm might have some early 2000s bottles, but last time I checked they were $58.

Monk's Cafe have 2004 Fantome Chocolat, I think Belgobaren had 2004 Fantome Saison before.

aside from exploding all over my kitchen its real nice! banana, clove, other spices slight tartness and a little funk. i can see this getting goooooooooood

Phresh Phlavors is DJPhresh brewery (homebrew?) that he is working on, he sent out a number of bottles of his Stoned Post Only TalkBeer beer to members of the Stoned Post Only thread over the past month.

Other than that I can't help you as I don't instragram (but I've got a profile under #instragramtony thanks to trickytunadicky).

Re instagram... people hashtag the **** out of things so more people see their photos and like them. The primary reason that anyone likes a photo, is so that the person they liked will follow them and like photos in return.

It's a circular thing to the point where famous instagrammers are both famous and rich because brands see likes as engagement... so they pay people to shill their brands. Which in turn sees their brands get more attention and likes.

In the beer world, people with big instagram followings get a lot of free stuff. In the food world, instagrammers get loads of free food and dinners. An insane amount. Both groups always post blindly positive "reviews" so brands love then.

I've been to dinners with "big" instagram food peeps. They are garbage people, in their 20s, who basically game the system for free stuff. The PR people know this, but they are bigger garbage people than the instagrammers so they don't care.

Instagram ******* sucks.

Edit: I use it sparingly because it does have some uses as a content creator and is kind of necessary. But I ******* hate it.
