Is Fantome "back"?

Anyone know if all the February 16 Sur Lie/Saison bottles have the black cap? Saw that mentioned, but the ones I have that I thought were the Feb bottles don't have that, regular silver cap.

Ideas or reviews on that batch? Might need to try and trade for some. If you have a black cap bottle hit me up, lots of Fantome or De Garde bottles to trade.

Confirmed, black caps are Summer 2015 batch. I will be buying them whenever I see them from here on out. Tons of orange peel, starting to get a little tart €€€

Err, you mean February 16 on the black caps? Now I'm really confused. Where and when did you get the black cap ones? Any date code on the side?

I first acquired some black caps in September of 2015 from the brewery during their Sante release day. Purchased more this week outside of Brussels. When I went to the brewery in early April they were selling the standard caps (most of them with US labels)

A tome from 1998
The first time I had it, it immediately became a never ending want to have it again. It encompasses the most wonderful display of Fantome house/brett character. Its a top 3 Fantome experience for me.

All of the bottles ive acquired from the 90's came from different sources in belgium. Some claiming to be locals in/around Soy, some claiming to be friends of Dany and most of the time its random people contacting me saying "they know a guy who knows a guy." Sometimes its on here, on BA, on RB and even facebook.

What the people want in return varies quite a bit. Not surprisingly, the more times these bottles change hands the more people want for them. I acquired some 1:1 for armand seasonals. Some I got with no details exchanged just "give me what you want in return."

Dont get me wrong... I turned many exchanges away because the other person wanted more than I was willing/able to give.

This is also a blanket statement that covers my tome quest over the past 8 or more years.

Dany has a grain bill that's the same... but Dany (or the ghost) throws in wonders in the boil or in the fermentation... I wish I can solve the mystery!!! I have 4 more bottles ( best before 2018) the peaches!!!! Mmmmmmm not that carbonated though... but a kick ass taste!

I had one... I didn't like it as Fantome goes! It was a bitter rough beer that a 1st time brewer would make w/ extract malt... Dany! Don't make it again

Read my prior review about this beer!!! Don't buy the crazy amount of crystal malt must be crazy... (it doesn't fit with a Dany beer)
