Tastes like oregano
So new Hiver is basically the dark version of Fleur de Bomal? That gives me mixed feels....![]()
Tastes like oregano
We had Sante 12, 14, 15, 17, and 18 together recently and 15 was by far the best, followed by 14 with no close third. I at least thought 18 was the least good of the bunch (though 17 was only marginally better, neither very enjoyable). But 18 was very young then and will probably be getting better with time.
I loved every bottle of the 2014 or 2015 (whatever it is) Hiver that I've had. Drank 3 or 4 of them and didn't pick up any oregano. So new Hiver is basically the dark version of Fleur de Bomal? That gives me mixed feels....
13 was nice fresh, similar to 14, but more malty, nothing crazy about it, just more caramel malt flavor than most Fantome beers. I got another bottle off Etre last year or so and it was really oxidized.13 has eluded me and i will do just about anything for...
Was not a fan of the new light label dalmatienne I opened on friday.
Very clean and typical saison yeastiness (clove/banana) hidden underneath an assault of menthol.
And toy trucks.Brazilian spices. And magic.

From what I can make out:
"made with pleaure and good ideas with Andre Junqueira from Brazil."
"3 grains, nugget hops, brazil spices, jambu, cubeb, tonka."
because I had to look it up:
jambu - watercress that cures toothache
cubeb - pepper with warming property used as a paste on genitals to intensify sexual pleasure
tonka - pea similar to sweet woodruff used as a vanilla substitute
Hopefully cubeb is safe to brew with![]()

Shop by me got some saison in. How is this batch? I only bought one because I can't be buying more than one of a Fantome before trying that batch.

Really interesting beer, almost biere de garde like with a touch of lactic acidity. I like it (and the carbonation really helps it).
Was very Flanders-esque to me without carb.. Excited for the last bottle I have!
yes !in 2 weeks .. 5 brewers here .. ;-)
yes Ft Rouge is only a Ft blond with fruits mix ... for my tavern ...on place ..in bottle very difficult to have the right carbonation..
next week in ETreGourmet shop and in Usa very soon too ..
..in etregourmet shop next week .. and in Brasil next month ... get a look to Andre SilvaFBook profile or Best Beer importators in Brasil ..![]()
