I'm putting together my kegerator, and was wondering if a 15" motorcycle camshaft would be too heavy for a Perlick 630 faucet. Anyone have experience with heavy handles?
I would test it out with some epoxy and a threaded insert. You could also get v-twin shafts which are much shorter. The other option would be to have the camshaft cut in half and made into 2 tap handles.
Put a cutting wheel on a disc grinder and use the shield. Wearing goggles, face mask, heavy duty gloves, and apron is advised. They may still be heavy in the end...
Band saw? Hack saw? I'm just going to bite off chunks until it's the right size.
I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have a line on a BMW K75 camshaft? That would be awesome as that's the bike I ride. And less modification required than my original source.
