Is 18/10 stainless brew pot OK?

I bought a 22 quart 18/10 stainless pot from walmart. It smells metalish, is that ok?

Wash it out thoroughly with dish-soap and a non-metallic scrub pad. The mfg may have put some oil on it to keep it clean and shiny.
