I've been brewing in my laundry room and I just got a fridge for my garage (free).

I just moved my Irish stout into secondary. Should I keep it in my fridge or laundry?

How do I learn what temp to brew different brews?

I'm very new to this.

If it were mine, I'd let it sit at fermentation temp for a period of time. Then, about a week before you want to bottle/keg it, put it in the refrigerator.

Just remember that when you bottle it, the bottles need to sit at room temp or about 70 degrees for 3 weeks in order to carb up. If you keep it at fridge temps the yeast won't consume the sugar and you'll end up with flat sweet beer. Also, look at your yeast packets for fermentation temp ranges. Most work well between 60 and 70. Some yeasts can go a little warmer without too much trouble (belgian/75 degrees) and some yeasts like it above 75 (Saisons).
