So,,, do you leave the Irish moss in primary or do you strain it out as you pour the brew kettle into primary?

Well, it's added to the boil so you don't usually notice it between the hops and the trub. It adds the coagulant that causes proteins to settle out so the actual physical stuff ends up in the hops and trub from the rest of the brew. All that settles out. If you secondary, the majority is left in the sludge of the primary.
 
I have never seen a difference with Irish moss. My clearest beers have come without it. Just my observation.

It's mostly for separating the break material in your brew kettle, thus adding it at 10-15 minutes prior to the end of the boil. It's technically done its job within a short time in the primary. After that, gelatin finings are a better way to go for clarity.

I've seen it make a difference, but it's certainly not magic.
