Fairly new to brewing but I love it, got a few buddies and made an official University organization out of it and our numbers are already growing and we're getting local support.

Just been getting recipe ideas off here for a while so figured I'd join in.

Wow... that's awesome! Which my college had that. I've been to a few of your football games over the years. My good friend from the Army is from Iowa and actually lives in Ames now (although I haven't heard from him much lately). Iowa is a great place. Had a ton of fun at your fair last year. Welcome to the site!

Take the initiative. Speak to somebody from student organizations and look into setting one up. Our system was very easy and its been an extremely rewarding process so far. Its a great way to encourage the growth of Homebrewing.

Hello and welcome from Washington State University. I understand we have an official homebrew club club here well (registered with the university) but it is currently defunct with no members or leadership when I found out about it a few weeks ago.. I would take it over, but I am about ready to graduate....

::sigh::: Seems that the Cougs are as good as homebrewing as they are at football.

Seriously, that's cool you guys have a club.. Be sure to associate yourself with the local town homebrew club too.. Two heads are always better than one!

I'm just getting ready to start an alumni brewing club at the university where I work. We've been leading some introductory homebrewing classes for alumni over the last year, and there's interest in getting together to discuss advanced techniques, so don't think that just because you're graduating you're off the hook, Groos!

And welcome, ISUbrew!
