Hey everyone from Central Iowa!
Recently picked up this awesome hobby after moving my family to an Orchard outside of DSM Iowa (which I am also slowly adding in a hop farm! Pick of first harvest from just a couple days ago)
I have been a craft beer fan/supporter for years, so getting into homebrew was inevitable for me. Enjoy the entire process from the recipe building to label making and making new friends.
Only a couple of brews under my belt, and just started playing around with all grain (with a CBS clone aging now and an octoberfest about to finish lagering in the basement). My claim to fame thus far is I had a beer earn a silver medal (in my category) at the Iowa State Fair this year that was brewed with Mulberries and Black Rasberries picked from our new orchard!
Looking forward to meeting new folks and learning from the experts!!!
