OK so I purchased some iodophor from my LHBS and it came in a little plastic bottle. When I pour some out it is BLACK in color. Is this correct. When sanitizing my carboy the entire contents were murky black color. And this stuff is supposed to be no rinse?? I dont think so. Whats going on

I'd call it more a dark brown, like any iodine solution. You don't need to use much at all, so if you're getting that noticeable amount of discoloration, you're probably just using too much.

Yes, it's a no-rinse sanitizer. It really doesn't leave any residue behind.

The stuff I use is dark bronze in the bottle and light orangeish bronze when mixed with the correct dilution in water. That doesn't sound right to me.
I do know if Iodophor mixes with any kind of starch it turns purple to almost black. I see this when some of it spills in the sink or if it gets on paper towels. I'm wondering if the stuff you have is contaminated.
