Hey all, I'm sure this discussion has come up more than once somewhere on here, but I'm looking for a good recipe for trying to introduce the commonplace American light lager drinker into a world of tasty beer. I'm thinking along the lines that a wit beer or a type of blonde would be excellent for this. So, does anyone have any good stories about how they were able to do this? Thanks!

The typical American light lager drinker wants beer that doesn't really taste like much of anything. So trying to "introduce" a beer that has taste will probably not be well received. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try, but don't be surprised if your target audience keeps on drinking their Coors light or whatever they like.
Or just make a homebrew version of Coors:

We went through 10 Gallons of my modified Cream of 3 crops at my birthday party, most of the people drinking it had brought their own Bud Light with them.
