Intertap Faucet - Interior Imperfections

I have been having nothing but trouble with foam since switching over to these taps and found this thread today. I just had an entire keg of pilsner foam and could not figure out for the life of me and sure enough I open up the faucet to inspect and I have gouges in the same spot. Really frustrating and these are probably counterfeit from what I can tell. I'm going back to Perlicks.
