inside door panel

What are my options for removing a full size fridge inside door panel? I had a piece of sheet metal cut for my floor and now the door is not able to close because of the inside door molding. I would have to cut my floor down 6 inches shorter to make it work and I won't be able to fit everything I want inside. From what I see a 4x4 sheet of HDPE is very expensive so I am needing something else to put on. Is there any other cheaper options?

What is your definition of "very expensive"? Here's a 4'x4' sheet of HDPE for $13.53:

I guess I didn't look hard enough, that is cheap enough.

I used the same stuff for the inside of my kegerator door. It's thin and you can slightly see through it, but I coated the back side with white spray paint to make it opaque and screwed it on.
