In a few months I'll be opening a nano brewery and vacation rental. Since the rental will be above the brewery by one floor, I can't see a reason why there shouldn't be a draft system in the kitchen. That being said I've been looking at inline flow meters to charge the guests per 12oz of draft beer. I think I'm clever, but I'm also certain someone here has already done that.
That said, I'd be interested to know your thoughts on how your successes have been..

Wouldn't it be easier to measure based on weight? I guess it depends on what you are dispensing from.

But a keg on a scale seems cheaper and easier, once you calculate the weight to oz.

I don't know the technical info but i have heard that an inline flow meter is kinda hard to come by a good one. But this is a good idea so incorporate a measuring system. It would probably not work if you had multiple rooms able to get from the same keg. I'm not sure if there is a cheap easy way to add flow meters.

As I thought about this, you would also need to take into effect the weight of the co2 that is replacing the beer.
 
I think you guys are right. If I'm consistent in filling the kegs and measure by weight, it will give me plenty of information from that to charge by the pint. It's more fool proof in the end.
