Having enough beer on stock so that you don't have to drink beer that's not quite ready. Or if it doesn’t taste too good you can leave it for a few more weeks.

Now the only problem I have is lack of chillier space. Now winters on its way I plan to leave some kegs and bottles outside in an insulated chest.

Time for an 8 week old beer. I have a feeling it wont see 10!
Best do another brew this weekend; I don’t think I want to get below 100 pints!

Doh! I am down to 12 bottles from my 1st batch. My second doesn't hit bottles until 1 1/2 weeks, and my 3rd won't be ready until the end of December!!

I am brewing up a batch of trusty IPA this weekend I think. The recipe that I used for my 1st batch was ready to drink after 3+ weeks, and I am sick of rationing! I have found that since I am making my own beer I don't want to drink anything else!

reminds me- I need more carboys!

Yeh, I slacked off this summer & was down to a half keg of Palmer Porter and some 2003 Old Bog Water, two weeks ago. Was forced to tour a few brewpubs.

having to buy beer isnt so bad, just buy local if you have a brewery or brewpub around. only your homebrew is fresher and youre supporting the local economy. their beers can give you ideas also. i am spoiled though cause i live in a place with 4 breweries for a 16,000 person town, and most (3/4) are pretty damn good. i gotta say nothing beats drinking the fruit of your labor though.

So, how long have you lived in Heaven?:D

It can dwindle so fast that you didn't recognize it. Keeping enough stock for those "friends" that pop by is also an objective I add in as the unexpected variable. I now brew every two weeks when I can (out of town etc). Heck, if it gets that bad in having too much frosty beverages around; have a party!

Chillier space; yea I have that problem big time :(

I have two roommates, and between the three of us we have three carboys. Somehow we haven't yet reached sustainability. It's all we can do to let our beer bottle condition as long as it should.
