Can anyone confirm that this is an infection? I was just getting ready to bottle. Been sitting for 3.5 View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1456436319.990582.jpgView attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1456436344.066512.jpgweeks. Took a sample to take gravity reading. Took a couple small sips. Did not taste horrible or sour.
I've heard people say they dumped lots of beer they probably shouldn't have. Don't want to do that myself. Although I also don't want to contaminate a bunch of bottles and have to pitch them as well as the beer.

Pardon my "dumb" question double_d but is that an infection then?
Might the beer be salvageable or should it be dumped?

If it taste ok then rack from under it and drink it quick.

Also clean and sanitized the tar out of that fermenter and anything that touches that beer so it doesn't happen again.

If it is brett then you could also let it go and see what happens but most sours take a long time.

I pulled some out to take a gravity reading. Tastes fine to me. Not sour or gross by any means.
I'm leaning towards bottling it and drinking quickly.
Thanks for the replies! You all may have just saved 5 gallons of delicious to mediocre beer for me!! :)
