Hey guys just brewed a Irish red ale and the krausen looks funny. It looks darker brown then my past brews and more dry /cake like in appearance? Could it be the melatoidin malt I used making it different?

What ya think?

Just brown krausen. Krausen will differ with yeast strains, SRM of wort, ingredients, etc. Do a google image search for krausen, it gets pretty interesting

It looks normal, no infection there as far as I'm concerned.
